Te'o sprained his foot in the preseason opener and was thought to be returning to the field in a week. He hasn't practiced since the injury and has been in a walking boot and occasionally using crutches.
Fans waiting to see if Te'o was worth the second round pick the Chargers spent on him will have to wait to find out.
