Rolando McClain says corrupt cops are out to get him

A day after being pulled over for a window tint violation and subsequently arrested for providing the police with a false name, Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain answered that "corrupt cops are out to get him". After shedding some light on this story, it's downright comical.

He didn't exactly say that but answered a question if he thought the cops were out to get him.

“I’m falsely accused of everything,” McClain said. “It’s corrupt. It’s terrible.”  When he was asked by a reporter if he thought the cops were out to get him, McClain responded, “Yes. You said it. I answered it.”

Where this story gets funny is the point when McClain was pulled over and the exchanges that took place.

McClain told the officer he had a letter from his doctor about the window tint, which he later produced. The printed letter stated he had “photosensitivity and needed maximum ultraviolet radiation protection to include window tinting,” Crouch said.

Annerton asked him twice to roll the window up partially so he could check the tint, and McClain refused both times, Crouch said.

“He tells the officer he’s got a letter from his doctor and that’s all he needs,” Crouch said.

Annerton called for a supervisor to meet him, and Sgt. Stan Elliott responded.
McClain eventually did roll up his window enough for Annerton to use a tint meter, which measures how much light can go through the window, and determine the tint was too dark, Crouch said.

“Sgt. Elliott told McClain that type of doctor’s recommendation should have been written on a medical prescription, to which McClain responded that Sgt. Elliott was not the officer that stopped him, so McClain didn’t have anything to say to him,” Crouch said.

Elliott told McClain he would be issued a ticket and could present any doctor’s orders on his court date.

“McClain took (the ticket) and appeared to sign it, but when officer Annerton got the ticket book back, he saw that McClain had written ‘F y’all’ instead of signing his name,” Crouch said. 

McClain was asked to sign his real name and claimed 'F y'all' was it. That when the cops decided to book him.

I don't know what world McClain lives in, but he's lucky they didn't decide to administer some good ol' southern justice. That truly could've taken a turn for the worse, but luckily for us we get to see how stupid of an individual McClain is while getting a nice laugh out of it.

Raiders' Rolando McClain arrested again

Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain tried to talk himself out of town. The Raiders kept him in Oakland and now McClain could find himself out the door.  

McClain was arrested again in Alabama for a window tint violation. Not that much of a big deal, but McClain gave the officer a false name and that's when he was taken into custody.

Last year McClain had gun charges dropped after the victim decided not to proceed with the case.

This might or might not get the ear of commissioner Roger Goodell, because it's not too serious. But considering his previous off field conduct he could face a possible suspension. And he could be a man without a team.

Hue Jackson Figured McClain Could Cover Megatron

Everyone is an armchair quarterback. I'm one of them. You know, questioning every decision that a coach or player makes. Some of the criticism is warranted, some isn't. But a few things Oakland Raiders coach Hue Jackson did Sunday against the Detroit Lions made me scratch my head.

First was the third and two deep ball Carson Palmer threw to Chaz Schilens that fell incomplete.

I'm a Lions fan so I'm glad that the pass fell incomplete and saved the Lions some time. The Lions don't have the greatest run defense so I was puzzled as to why the Raiders went deep. I can understand trying to bury someone, but to conventionally ice the game has never hurt anyone in the past.

Here's the one Jackson gets defensive about. The deep pass to Calvin Johnson where Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was hung out to dry in the defense that was called.

Go make that play,” Jackson said via the CSNCalifornia.com. “It isn’t a scheme issue. The ball’s laying up in the air, you’ve got to go make that play when you’ve got an opportunity. Their guy made it and we didn’t, so they won the game.”



“Yeah, that’s called the Tampa-2. That’s what the middle linebacker does — he runs right down the middle of the field. They made the play and we didn’t.”


First, I've seen the Tampa 2 up close and personal when Rod Marinelli coached the Lions and not once did I see a middle linebacker going deep 40 yards to cover an elite receiver. I never saw the non descript MLB the Lions had at the time trying to cover Randy Moss going deep down the middle. So I don't see why Jackson is so defensive about the lousy defensive call that pretty much cost them the game.

Jackson must've listened to Rob Ryan on how to defend Johnson since he torched the Raiders for 9 catches, 214 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson would've been better off watching film of all the bracket coverage teams have been throwing at the Lions the past five weeks.

Jackson needs to go back to school and when he does he needs to major in "Watching game film 101". Covering Megatron with a linebacker? Suicide!
